History of “Christ the King Apostolic Church”

It all began in 2002 as a Bible study in various saint’s homes. Different saints came and went as part of the study group. After a while Randall and Rhonda Winn joined the group.

Pastor Winn began teaching the class on a regular basis.

The Lord had been dealing with Randall Winn for a long time about Pastoring. By common consent Randall Winn assumed the role of Pastor.  We soon realized the need to acquire a building.

We searched for several months, looking at different buildings.

We began meeting at one of the saints home for Sunday school and worship.

God began moving on our behalf in a mighty way! One day the Pastor of the church who at the time owned the building at 1004 Forth Street, called Pastor Randall Winn to his office. He said that God had laid on his heart to sell their old building to us. Ironically this was the building that housed Greater Bethel for many years. It was the building that many of us had been saved in. It had been vacant for four years.  Many people desired to purchase this building at 1004 Fourth St. NE., including one person who wanted to convert the building into a museum. Others could not meet the price that was being asked. God allowed us to purchase the building for a greatly reduced price.

Once again God showed favor to us. The building was ours as of October 2005! Pastor Randall Winn had been wrestling with various names for the Church. He decided on “Christ the King Apostolic Church” emphasizing the fact that God is in charge and we are all his servants.

The church became a member of the World Assemblies of Restoration in 2005.

God has added to the church such as should be saved.

Souls are being revived, uplifted, restored and encouraged!

Groups were organized such as the “Daughters of the King” for the women of the church. The “Sons of the King” for the men were organized as well as The”Children of the King” for the young people and The “Servants of the King” for the ministers.

Christ the King Apostolic Church has become a place of love, fellowship and most of all a refuge in the time of storm. We believe the best is yet to come! To God be the glory!
